Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • The seller: Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record, processes orders.
  • Licence scope: PolyField Server and PolyField & Track Displays are licensed per device, meaning the computer the software runs on. One of each is needed per stadium.
  • Licence types: PolyField Server is available as a 12-month subscription or a perpetual licence, each in non-commercial and commercial versions. PolyField & Track Displays is pay-what-you-can for non-commercial users, with a 12-month subscription for commercial users. See pricing.
  • Liability (the "official's clause"): PolyField is a decision-support tool for athletics officials. We aim for high precision in our EDM and results integration, but the Technical Official in charge is solely responsible for validating any measurement or competition record. PolyField is not liable for any disqualifications or disputed results arising from use of the software.
  1. Licence grant. Once you pay the licence fee, PolyField grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use PolyField & Track Displays and Server for officiating and event management.
  2. Hardware compatibility. PolyField software works with third-party EDM hardware (for example Leica, GeoMax, Mato and APEKS). We don't guarantee compatibility with every hardware version and aren't responsible for hardware faults.
  3. Professional responsibility. PolyField is a tool to assist officials. The Technical Official or Referee remains solely responsible for verifying any measurement, record-breaking performance or competition result.
  4. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PolyField (and Kingston AC & Polytechnic Harriers) shall not be liable for any losses, including but not limited to event delays, loss of data, or incorrect results, exceeding the amount paid for the current licence term (or, for a perpetual licence, the amount paid for that licence).
  5. Subscriptions, perpetual licences and renewal.
    • 12-month subscriptions are billed yearly. If the fee isn't paid by the renewal date, access to Pro features and server-side analytics is suspended.
    • Perpetual licences are a one-off payment, don't expire and include future updates, so no renewal is needed.
    • Non-commercial licences are for clubs and counties. Commercial licences are for anyone using PolyField as a provided service to generate income; non-commercial licences may not be used for that purpose.
Current fees are listed on our Lemon Squeezy store.
